Terms of Use
Last updated November 6, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you visit the Waypost Prep website or use the Waypost Prep apps and services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Notice explains what we collect and how we use it.
1. Who can use Waypost Prep
You must live in the United States and be at least 13 years old to create an account. During the pilot, we may limit new accounts to people with an invitation code; when we do, the sign-up form asks for one. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these Terms and the Privacy Notice with you.
2. Your account
Give accurate information when you create an account and keep your sign-in details private. An account is for one person; do not share it, sell it, or let someone else study under your name. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Waypost Prep content
Lessons, practice questions, answer choices, explanations, study plans, assessments, practice tests, tutoring responses, and the text, graphics, and software of the Service (“Waypost Prep Content”) belong to Waypost Prep or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.
While your account is in good standing, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to view and use Waypost Prep Content for your own study. Parents with a student-approved link may view the linked student’s progress as the Service allows. No other rights are granted.
4. What you may not do
You may not, and may not help or allow anyone else to:
- copy, download in bulk, republish, sell, share, or publicly post Waypost Prep Content, including posting questions, answers, or explanations online, beyond brief notes for your own study;
- use bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, headless browsers, or any other automated means to access, collect, copy, index, or monitor the Service or Waypost Prep Content;
- use Waypost Prep Content, or anything the Service produces, to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or build any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, dataset, or retrieval system;
- get around rate limits, human checks, paywalls, or other access controls, or call the Service’s interfaces other than through the Waypost Prep apps;
- try to extract answer keys, teaching guides, or the tutor’s instructions, or reverse engineer the Service except where the law expressly allows it;
- use the Service to cheat on an official exam or other assessment;
- probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service, or upload harmful code.
5. Automated access
Our robots.txt file tells crawlers which public pages, if any, they may visit. Following it does not grant any right to copy or reuse Waypost Prep Content beyond these Terms. We may block, limit, or suspend access that appears automated or that breaks these Terms.
6. Your answers and messages
You keep ownership of the answers and messages you submit. You let us store and process them to provide, secure, and support the Service for you, including showing them to a parent you have linked.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you and a linked parent have. By using the Service you acknowledge that notice.
8. Practice results and AI tutoring
Practice results and practice score estimates are study aids, not official scores or predictions of an official result. The tutor shows prepared hints and explanations written for each question; it does not hold a live conversation with an AI model. Prepared material can still contain mistakes; check explanations and tell us if something does not look right.
9. Subscriptions and payments
Some features require a paid subscription. Before you subscribe we show the price, billing period and what is included. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account settings; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We may change prices for future periods; we will tell you before a change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
If something goes wrong with a charge, contact us within 30 days. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable for partial periods, but we will refund a charge made in error. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor under its own terms.
10. Trademarks
SAT®, AP®, ACT®, GED® and GMAT™ are trademarks of their respective owners. Waypost Prep is not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board, ACT, the GED Testing Service or GMAC.
11. Suspension and ending access
We may suspend or end access to the Service if these Terms are broken or to protect students, families, or the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, and Waypost Prep is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Other uses
Any use of Waypost Prep Content beyond these Terms, including licensing, republishing, or automated collection, needs Waypost Prep’s prior written permission.
15. Contact and support
Waypost Prep is operated by Waypost Prep LLC, Boston, MA. Email us at admin@waypostprep.com. We aim to reply within two business days, and within 24 hours for reports about safety, a compromised account, or content that should not be in the Service.
